the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe comes out on friday and i'm quite excited to see it. i do however have great fears about there treatment of the book. while many would not hold the purist ideal i do, i found the changes/liberties taken in the Lord of the Rings to be most disappointing. in watching the Narnia trailer i can already see things they have changed. the children were not restricted in their use of the house, only told to stay out of the way of tourists. also, the children were never told to leave the professor alone and seem comfortable talking to him about the whole "lucy thinks she went into another country in the wardrobe" thing. this is out of a few minutes of trailer.... and so i'm a little anxious. (i realize someones shotty job of translating one of the greatest childrens books ever written to a movie isn't a huge life threatening cautastrophy.. but still.)

I agree with you Matt. Unfortunately my intense excitement over being able to see it on opening night as my own little b-day gift to me have been dashed and alas work must come b4 enjoyment for me. I'm hoping to instead see it when I get to Vegas. It'll be that much sweeter b/c I'll be DONE exams YEAH!!!

Well, I mostly commented cuz I wanted to say something about your version of the word catastrophe––cautastrophy is a much better spelling, nice!
