this weeks adventures with K*rk have yielded the following goodies:

The Corporation (DVD) - the best doc i have seen in a long long time.

On Bullshit - a book copy of an essay written by a Princeton prof that deals with the definitions and differences between lying and bullshit (i saw him on John Stewart, he was a funny old man)

Appletons Rum - because i have been out for a month now, and damn it i like that stuff

there is also a new stereophonics cd out that was tempting, but at the end of may both the new System of a Down and the new Audioslave come out... plus i wanna buy a set of turntables.

Hey! Just saw a thingy on CBC about Jeffrey Sach's latest book titled "The End of Poverty" tonight and I was soooooooo excited to buy it. He's an amazing economist that is trying to convince the world leaders that his plan will work and they should jump on board. He's also partnered with Bono on the whole Africa thing too. He's got some amazing ideas; a very brilliant man! The best thing that I saw about the whole thing on this interview thingy was that he's actually put his ideas into action in Bolivia and Poland (in the 80s) and convinced the IMF to cancel the debts of both countries. Seems the biggest obstacle is the US at this point (figures; and he's an American so it's not like he's finger pointing entirely). Don't know if you're interested in the economic aspect of world affairs or not but if you are I can lend you the book when I'm done with it (I haven't bought it yet but it's merely a matter of when at this point; I'm getting excited just commenting about the thing! I'm such a geek!)
