cbc has been good to me the last little while. there is always coranation st. (though i've cheated and know whats going to happen for the next month). last week there was a documentary by Avi Lewis and Niaomi Klien (of No Logo fame) called The Take. it was about the worker revolution in Argentina. a few years back the economic system there collapsed and many factories just closed down. now the workers are going in and starting up the factories as co-ops without permission of the owners. it was very interesting. then on saturday i turned it on to waste some time while waiting for supper and who should appear but Sarah Slean pounding away at a piano, very good. there was a Nature of Things on rage which was interesting from a moral standpoint. all in all some good stuff. tonight is a doc on russian hockey by Dave Bidini (of the Rheostatics and Hockey Nomad). i don't like NHL hockey much at all but it seems to be something very different and more artistic in europe.
if only i could stay up for ZED tonight.. but i'm still sick.

monday is my favourite day for cbc. mind you, it's the only day i'm home during the day... there's always a classic matinee and some other great stuff. and i think tonight there is another one of those david suzuki specials - love, maybe? i don't normally enjoy him, but this particular series sounded interesting...
