Thoughts for the day

How does attacking someone who believes something different from you prove you believe in equality?

When did tolerance become about tolerating only those with the same view as yours?

Who said you were right? You?

The liberals are as hypocritical as the conservatives are… the only difference is that they’re louder!

If God didn’t make laws, there really aren’t any… so watch your back.

If Gods laws have to agree with your opinions, why aren’t you God?

the new DVD

today was the release of the Hallucino-Genetics DVD. it's a live concert that was filmed at the last concert of the last Primus tour. total it's about 2 1/2 hours so i haven't watched the whole thing yet, but what i did watch was amazing. it's two sets, the first being a band favorites set and the second being the entire Frizzle Fry album (which i bought a couple weeks ago for a ridiculous amount, this DVD cost half as much.) so now i'm only missing two EP's and then i will have all the Primus releases.

now i need another band to get wound up in. maybe i need to go back to the british catalogue..... they seem to know what they're doing.

oh.. kirk no handsome boy modeling school yet, sorry

ick

my weekend has been utter tripe. i've felt like shit since thursday. hopefully tomorrow will be better... i haven't been to church in three weeks.

on other fronts...... i might get The Cure..... a little bit. it's hard to say really. certain stuff sounds quite good, while other stuff sounds terribly immature... by which i mean the songs don't sound finished. if you're wondering why any of this matters it's because i'm trying to understand Lauries fascination with them. i did reserve the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack at the library...... thom yorke and johnny greenwood covering Roxy Music songs. it's just gotta be good.

i've seriously thought about raising some very heavy questions on here, but things tend to get heated or go on for a long time and i get sick of it or feel bad for starting it. so i'll think on that for awhile longer.

Some kind of monster.....

so Kirk, Tim, Eric, and a friend of Kirks from school Nolan went to see Some Kind of Monster last night. what a good film. i've always been a sideways fan of Metallica, i liked them but i've never owned anything by them . but it was cool to see how a band that has been around that long gets screwed up and then rebuilds itself. it was also good to see them deal with the whole Dave Mustain thing, poor guy. and of course ol'Rob. man that guy can play, he makes jason look like a wuss. anywho, only two more nights at the Broadway so if you're interested go see it. it's worth it.

the Motorcycle Diaries are playing from December 3-16 every night, so i'll be watching that at some point too.

a little more art to calm you down... or tick you off

the links been up for a while now, but i don't think i've ever mentioned it before. check out the Stencil Revolution page. it's all about various tags and art done with stencils. some of it is amazingly detailed and well done. other stuff is more interesting because of the message or the place it's located. anyway, check it out, browse around (go to the gallery, it's worth it.)

you know you know

since nobody gave me and answer to my last query (about the second last title) i'm gonna give out another one and see who's the brightest (or who cheats the fastest.) so what do these phrases mean:

la haine
